About Joshua

Joshua V. Callahan has practiced in his home state of Oregon since 2011 as a Trial Lawyer. Since then, he has helped countless clients throughout the Pacific Northwest successfully attain the compensation they deserve related to claims for injury or death. Joshua takes the term Trial Attorney seriously and is always willing to take every client’s case to trial if necessary, with a track record to prove this.  Joshua has tried and arbitrated more than 100 civil cases to completion making him one of the most experienced Trial Lawyers of his generation.

Experienced Litigator

While completing his formal education, and before opening his own law practice, Joshua owned and operated a business providing trial consulting services as a technical expert to Trial Lawyers. After playing a supporting role for many years, in countless trials throughout the Pacific Northwest, Joshua knew he wanted to be the one at the counsel table in front of the jury. Supporting and working directly with many of the most skilled and experienced Trial Lawyers in the region, on both the defense and plaintiff side, Joshua gained invaluable experience unique among his peers. Drawing from this knowledge, Joshua has become a preeminent litigator in his own right, receiving numerous awards and affiliations for his tireless fight seeking justice for injured clients.

Proud Oregonian, Husband, Father & Combat Veteran

Joshua was born and raised in Milwaukie, Oregon to parents who were also native Oregonians. Joshua’s grandfather migrated from Ireland to the Pacific Northwest and laid down deep roots. Joshua followed the path of his grandfather and father by joining the military after high school.  He joined the US Army as a Military Police Officer where he served as a patrolman, investigator, and supervisor over his eight years of service.  Joshua was promoted in rank rapidly and recognized multiple times for outstanding leadership throughout his time in the Army. He was deployed for military missions four (4) different times overseas where he served in both peacekeeping and combat missions. Joshua returned home to Oregon after his service where he finished his undergraduate degree at Portland State University (Cum Laude) and attended Lewis & Clark Law School while running his litigation business.

Joshua met his amazing wife Annie, who is also an attorney, during his college & consulting years after leaving the military. Annie is also a Portland native, so the two have strong ties to the community through all their family and friends living in the area. They are parents to three young boys; Brady, Patrick, and Lucas, who keep them on their toes constantly. When not working hard for his clients, Joshua enjoys spending time with his family and friends. You can usually find him coaching kids sports, on a golf course, traveling, fishing or hunting when he is not in the office or Courtroom. Joshua and Annie made their home in Happy Valley where Joshua is also an elected official working to make his community a better place for the families there.
